So here is some photos showing the progress of the random terrain generator that will be used for the randomized RPG. The time it takes to create this is quite long, averaging about 3 minutes. Of course, all of the information is saved into a array, so travel can be instantaneous. The next challenge will be finding a way to save all of this stuff. I've thought about GRP's but it would take a minimum of 5, so I'm not convinced this is the optimal solution.
The next step is to create randomized towns/dungeons. Yay?
This stuff keeps getting more and more difficult, but alas, I like it and won't stop. The idea of a game that challenges its player in a new and different way everytime it is played sounds incredible. Infinite replayability is a dream that I long to pursue.
